It is my understanding that the stone that coinsides with your atrological sign is the most powerful for you. When choosing your stones or crystals, be sure to touch each one to get a "feel" for it. You will know if it's the right stone for you. So to answer your question of do some work better than other depending on the person....yes. There are many wonderful sites on the net on the subject.
