Nice pic Az, not sure but it's moving pretty fast, certainly looks "orby" rather than dust.

And welcome to EP, hope you enjoy our site.

I have inserted the image for you.

Hi az
Paul has done a few invests at canewdon, I have not been there yet but maybe soon ?
If you look through out upcoming events, you will see that we have an invest at Fort Amherst in Kent in 3 weeks time, we also went to Kelvedon Hatch bunker a short while ago, that was wicked.
Also if you look in the RSS section or the Photo Album you will see the pics from previous invests.
John is planning more events too. There may be a space or 2 left for Amherst if you are interested.

Hi Az

As Kev said welcome to E P, hope you enjoy the site.
It is certainly an interesting pic, nice one.
I have only been to Canewdon the once and it was very quiet and peaceful although from some of the things Paul has told me of various times he's been, it sounds a familiar scenario what you felt.

There are indeed still a few places left for Fort Amherst. It is a place we have never been before but it looks interesting and i have heard good things. If it's anything like Coalhouse then it should be an excellent night.
There are a couple more invests to go up when Amherst is finalised.
Hopefully we will be having a meet up in the near future too where anyone interested can come along.

Best wishes
John

yes its a real interesting place with lots happening ive looked up
a bit about it and here is another church down church road there
every certain day in august that church is suppose to be haunted
basically a woman was on her way to get married in a horse and
carrage and a accident happened outside the church which killed
the woman and the rider,so she appears once every year, and
theres a a ghost dog which can be seen down church road to a black dog that is said if anybody see`s it you will be daid at the end of the year ? hmmm dunno what to think with that one.

another place i have visited is the 14th century st marys church in mundon near maldon, its a good thace the vibe i got was not to bad theredid feel like sombody blew on the side of my face thats
about it,but i would love to go back there again without a doubt

but does anybody know any history bout danbury church ? basically i was bought up all my life in danbury and know the church well but thats the only thing i dont know nothing about the church ? like that angel with its arms cut off as you get past the side church door puzzles me

I've had a couple of strange experiences at Canewdon church. The first was about 4 years ago. I went with some friends there in search of ghosts, as we had heart of weird things happening there. We got there about eleven and walked round the church a few times, to be honest it's quite a blur after that. I remember we kept hearing what sounded like drums, and i can recall something spooking the others because we left. We wandered around for a while trying to find a road name so we could call a taxi...We ended up back in our home town of Southend about 4am and I don't really understand what happened but I felt this sudden anger towards a girl we went with...I can't explain it, I just wanted to get rid of her...After that everything goes pretty blank. Apparently I started talking about the cycles of the moon (something I would know nothing about, and still don't) and getting rather beligerant. I was told they surrounded me with candles and I was sat in this circle for a few hours (although I only have a faint recollection of even being in this circle).....In the morning I barely remembered anything and nothing out of the ordinary happened, other than a few days when I thought that (this will sound a bit crazy) 3 people were talking to me....

The second experience was about 2 years ago. I went with just one friend back to Canewdon Church. I believe we arrived there about 2am. There was another car in front of the church when we arrived. Some boys were daring each other to actually go onto the church grounds. To be honest, my friend and I were not paying to much attention and just talking amongst ourselves. Suddenly, these two teenagers were screaming and running back to the car, and drove off. Out of nowhere there was this woman, dressed in black. Not dated clothing, it looked like just a black shirt and trousers. She started 'dancing', but it sort of looked like a mixture of dancing and some sort of exercise, I can't really explain it...It was very, very slow. This went on until just before 4am. She then walked right up to the gates and took a bow...After this she walked off to the left and seemingly vanished...I can't really find any explanation...it was very interesting.

We did go back on the same day of the month but saw nothing.

Lauren

I used to go up there many years ago with a mate of mine. We were a lot younger then and I only wish that I knew more about things as I do now, my experiences up there may have proved to be a bit more settling he he he

Canewdon is a good location i've also had some very strange things happen there.

Can i ask ? - was it rainy or damp the night this photo was taken?

As rain and moisture in the air photographs like this and would have to be ruled out before anything else i think.

If it had been at all rainy that night chances are thats what it is - unfortunatly :(
