MOTION DETECTION SOFTWARE


As technology gets more advanced ghosthunters have more equipment at their disposal to gather data, we have just implimented a laptop based camera system with motion detection facilities, this can be left to monitor a room with mulitple camera views and only capture a movie file if motion is detected, the sensitivity can be adjusted so even a slight movement will cause a capture (including slight changes in light), this may yield interesting results, it will be used in conjuction with a data logger for recording any temperature change and a minidisc recorder for getting the audio,
this system can accept many camera types such as webcams, video cameras, cctv cameras (with the right adaptors) and has many uses for example monitoring a trigger object , with multple cameras you can monitor the object itself and cameras with a wider view to make sure no-one is tampering with the experiment, this is key to making sure you have the best data, as any rational person will first think it has been moved either by accident or by fraudulent means, this system will help combat this
